Dundurn Castle and the 1967 Canadian Centennial

It was a large crowd in front of Dundurn Castle, gathered to celebrate on the most important events in the long and colorful history of Dundurn.

Hamilton’s major Centennial project, the restoration of Dundurn Castle, was ready to be celebrated, July 16, 1967.

A.C. MacNab, a direct descendant of the Laird of Dundurn, Sir Allan MacNab, was in attendance.

Interpretive staff poised and ready to show the beautifully restored Dundurn Castle to Hamiltonians and visitors to the city.
