Hamilton Cardinals – On the Road in 1946
In 1946, the city of Hamilton had a professional baseball team, known as the Hamilton Cardinals, playing in the Pennsylvania-Ontario-New York league. To transport the team to the various other cities in the league, a bus was acquired and painted with the team’s colors and logo.
The Superior Engravers Company was hired to photograph the bus and two of those commissioned images appear below.
The cities and the names of the other teams in the league follow:Batavia Clippers, Bradford Blue Wings, Hornell Maples, Jamestown Falcons, Lockport Cubs, Olean ilers and Wellsville Yankees.

I don’t know for sure – various names have been told me but I have found nothing “official.”
